Holly Springs is one of the best places to live in the Triangle Area. Here are a few reasons why.
The town of Holly Springs has been voted as the safest place to live in North Carolina, the best place to raise a family in North Carolina, and one of the best small cities in America. These accolades alone make it easy to see why people love calling Holly Springs home.
I’m here at the Saturday morning Farmers Market in Holly Springs to celebrate Founders’ Day, which is the birthday of the town’s founder, G.B. Alford. Today, the North Carolina Chapter of the American Planning Association is presenting Holly Springs with the 2018 Great Main Street in the Making Award. This main street is vibrant and bustling. There’s always something to do here, from the aforementioned farmer’s markets to town festivals and concerts. The construction of town hall started the process of this downtown revitalization. There are shops, restaurants, and much more coming soon.
Just off Main Street, you’ll find the Holly Springs Cultural Center, which is the heart of fine arts in Holly Springs. You can catch a play, an outdoor concert, or settle in with a good book in the library. People are constantly moving into this town because the quality of life is second to none. You really have the best of both worlds with a small town feel, and at the same time, being less than 30 minutes away from everything that Raleigh has to offer.
This town’s leadership has invested so much in cultivating a town where people can live a vibrant lifestyle in a small-town setting. With a population of over 30,000 people today, it’s hard to imagine that Holly Springs started as a crossroads where people stopped at the springs surrounded by holly trees. Its rich history began before the Civil War, which you can learn more about at The Mims House.
With great schools on traditional and year-round calendars, modern school facilities, brand-new shopping centers, and easy access to Highway 540, it’s easy to see why Holly Springs is a great place to call home in the Triangle.
Living in Holly Springs can’t be discussed without talking about the types of neighborhoods that have grown here. From first-home communities to waterfront homes on exquisite home sites, there really is a fit for everyone. With several master plan neighborhoods like Sunset Ridge and Twelve Oaks, you get a lifestyle that includes golfing on exquisite golf courses, swim clubs, tennis programs, and many other activities that will enhance your life.
You’ll find tree-lined streets, friendly families, neighborhood block parties, and there are always children with lemonade stands. People who have moved here tell me that it’s easy to create friendships that last a lifetime.
With so many neighborhoods in Holly Springs, it can be tough to narrow down the best place for you and your family. I would love to help you with that. As a Holly Springs resident myself, I know these neighborhoods and the homes within them just like the back of my hand and can make this transition easy for you and your family.
If you have any questions about Holly Springs and how we can help you get started with your home search, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
