Welcome to Lavish
What Is Lavish?
Conveniently located in North Raleigh’s Sutton Square Shopping Center, Lavish is a full-service design boutique, showroom, and wine bar that offers some of the most on-trend decor in the Triangle.
Lavish was founded just four years ago by interior designer Jenny Cimino. This one-of-a-kind space brings together some of Raleigh’s most talented design experts, but it’s also a place to discover new trends and hang out with friends.
Although Lavish is primarily a design showroom, everyone always gravitates to their towering wine shelf. It adds a bit of fun to the showroom, and clients love sampling the team’s curated wine collection after coming in for a consultation or shopping trip.
Lavish focuses on both residential and commercial spaces, and their team can help you with all aspects of interior design. Whether you’re looking for a color consultation or a full makeover, they’re here to offer their expertise!
What’s Their Style?
“Our design philosophy is really ‘stay timeless’.” says Jenny Cimino, lead designer and owner of Lavish. “We achieve that by staying pretty safe with the color palettes on items that are going to stay secure in the home, such as cabinetry. But we love playing around with color and texture…”
Just take a look inside any Lavish-designed home, and you’ll see Jenny’s vision brought to life. Crisp white walls are juxtaposed against neutral cabinets, but a pop of color always shines through. Expect the unexpected from the Lavish team—they’re known to incorporate a fun backsplash, colorful furniture, or an out-of-this world wallpaper into their designs!
Have Any Design Tips?
If you’re getting ready to move, you’ll want to add a personal touch to your new space. It’s easy to make a few modifications, especially in a new construction home—and they can have a pretty big impact on design.
First and foremost, Jenny recommends adding a new coat of paint to really breathe new life into a home. Adding colors that you love incorporates your personality, and it’s okay to get creative. You can paint anything from walls to cabinets to windows—and don’t be afraid to use some wallpaper, either.
The second big change you should make is installing new lighting. Builder-grade fixtures can seem boring, but investing in a statement lighting fixture can truly tie a room together. Sparkling chandeliers, bold pendant lights, and eye-catching sconces are almost always worth the investment!
Ready to Make a Move?
If you’re thinking about moving to the Triangle, be sure to pay Jenny and the Lavish team a visit at their Sutton Square showroom. They host plenty of client appreciation events (they’re known to have a few fun guests…including a bright green llama!), and you’re bound to find something beautiful for your home.
